Steve (he/him/his) is a licensed independent social worker in the Iowa City office, who works with individuals and couples 18 years of age and older. He considers himself a 'meat and potatoes' kind of therapist, and has been called "the weathered therapist", because he's 'been there and done that' in many ways.  In turn he gives of himself with compassion and humor, sharing what he's learned the hard way, or however life lessons may come.

Primarily his approach is person-centered, using solution focused therapy and other modalities as needed to address the tangles and situations you may be facing. Steve enjoys making music- guitar, voice, writing music- writing his memoirs, spending time with his wife of 45+ years, his daughter and grandsons, and reading good books.
