Hailey Amro, LMSW (she/her), is a recent graduate from the Master of Social Work program at the University of Iowa. Previously she obtained a B.A. in psychology from the University of Kansas. Her approach to therapy is through a strengths-based and person-centered lens, in which clients feel safe and empowered to express themselves. Her hope is to engage with clients in a way that fosters a supportive environment as well as promotes vulnerability, personal agency, and growth. She also maintains a commitment to approaching her interactions with clients from a culturally competent perspective, including acknowledging her personal privilege and being an advocate for social justice.

Hailey’s past clinical experience has included private, crisis, academic, and community mental health settings, giving her a wide range of exposure to diverse populations. She also has experience with administering cognitive and neuropsychological assessments in a mental health framework, as well as maintains engagement in several research endeavors, and is passionate about engaging in research that seeks to inform clinical best practice. Her clinical interests encapsulate adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma/adverse life experience related concerns, and other psychological difficulties. She is a proponent for providing services to anyone willing to take the step towards promoting their person mental health and wellbeing, and advocates that no concern is too big or too small to seek and receive competent and safe mental health care.
