Elaine (she/her/hers) is a student at Drake University obtaining her master’s degree Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Elaine is providing therapy services during her educational experience from the West Des Moines office.

Elaine first entered the mental health profession helping the community through the Iowa City Crisis Center, where she aided those in crisis situations through a local channel. Elaine also proved services for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Elaine has prior experience providing direct client services at a residential facility in Des Moines as well.

Elaine utilizes a client-centered approach to therapy as she believes each individual is unique from their experiences, beliefs, upbringing, and lifestyle. Elaine values genuine connection and creating a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients. Elaine believes that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to process the different aspects that our clients bring to therapy.
