Cait (she/her/hers) is a mental health counselor located in West Des Moines, providing both in-person and telehealth services. Her previous experience includes working with parents of children and adolescents navigating mental health struggles, and as a substance use counselor for adolescents through a local non-profit, often collaborating with the juvenile justice system. These roles allow Cait to bring an abundance of empathy and open mindedness to her practice. Caitlyn works to create a collaborative experience as she believes clients are the experts of their life, while her role is to bring clinical expertise to the therapeutic process. As a counselor, her work with clients is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy while incorporating other therapeutic approaches such as Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy techniques, and Multicultural Counseling. She has a particular passion for working with children and adolescents as they step into their personhood and actively living out their values. Cait is available to work with individuals ages 5 and up.
